- Prepare 1 cup of basmati rice soaked for 30 minutes.
- You need 1 of beetroot grated.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of oil.

- Heat oil in kadhai add cumin seeds then add bay leaf, cloves,cardamom and cinnamon..
- Now add onion, green chilli and ginger garlic paste saute well..
- Now add tomatoes and saute until turn soft and mushy..
- Add beet root saute for 2 minutes..
- Add turmeric, garam masala and salt and saute for until the spices turn aromatic..
- Now add basmati rice and 2 cups of water and mix well.
- Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or till the rice get cooked completely..
- Now add mint leaves and coriander leaves and mix well..
- Finally beetroot pulao is ready to serve with raita and salad..
