Ingredients of Dal Baati

  2. You need 2 cup of wheat flour / atta.
  3. It’s 1/4 tsp of salt.
  4. You need 1/4 tsp of ajwain.
  5. You need 1/4 tsp of rava.
  6. You need 1/4 cup of ghee / clarified butter or oil.
  7. You need as needed of water to knead.
  8. Prepare of Dal.
  9. It’s 1/4 cup of toor daal and moong daal soaked 30 minutes.
  10. You need 3 cup of water.
  11. Prepare 3 tsp of ghee / clarified butter.
  12. You need 1 tsp of Mustard Seeds.
  13. You need 1 tsp of cumin / jeera.
  14. You need pinch of hing / asafoetida.
  15. Prepare 1 of onion, finely chopped.
  16. You need 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
  17. Prepare 1 of green chilli, slit.
  18. Prepare 1 of tomato, finely chopped.
  19. It’s 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  20. Prepare 1/2 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.
  21. You need 1/4 tsp of garam masala.
  22. You need 1 tsp of salt.
  23. You need 1 cup of water.
  24. It’s 2 tbsp of coriander, finely chopped.

Dal Baati instructions

  1. Firstly, in a large bowl take 2 cup wheat flour, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp baking powder and ¼ cup ghee..
  2. Mix well making sure the dough is moist. now add water as required and knead the dough..
  3. Make a ball little bit bigger size and add in boiling water (u can cook in cooker also with 2-3 whistle)boil till it will float on water..
  4. After cooling down cut in small picece border should be thick shape..
  5. Keep kadai and add oil. Boiled bati fry on low fame till it's get colour change in brown..
  6. Firstly in a pressure cooker take ½ cup moong dal, and ¼ cup toor dal..
  7. Pressure cook for 4 whistles adding 1 tsp ghee and 3 cup water..
  8. Now in a large kadai heat 2 tsp ghee and splutter 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp cumin and pinch hing..
  9. Add 1 onion followed by 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1 green chilli. saute well..
  10. Further add 1 tomato and saute well..
  11. Additionally add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp garam masala and 1 tsp salt. saute on low flame..
  12. Furthermore add in cooked dal, 1 cup water and mix..
  13. Simmer and boil for 5 minutes or till dal absorbs masala..
  14. Now add coriander leaves and mix well..
  15. Finally, serve dal bati along with slices of onion and chilli..
